NPD: Man arrested for shooting on Pilot Ave.

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police have arrested a man accused of a shooting on Pilot Avenue.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 6600 block of Pilot Avenue for the report of a shooting victim.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and is expected to recover.

An investigation lead detectives to arrest and charge Saivyon T. Jackson, 20, with malicious wounding and use of a firearm.

Jackson is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
