Dec. 23—COLUMBUS — Area counties all achieved 100 percent accuracy during the 2022 elections, according to a post-election audit by the office of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.

Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam and Van Wert counties all hit 100 percent accuracy. Statewide, the elections were 99.8 percent accurate.

County boards of elections reviewed 5% of the total votes cast for the county for the top of the ticket, a statewide race and one non-statewide race.

"Because of our dedicated bipartisan election officials, Ohio is devoid of the drama and controversy we see in other states," LaRose said in a press release. "Another important reason Ohioans know that they can trust our elections is because every election is audited by bipartisan teams of election professionals in our county boards, and the results prove definitively that our elections are run openly, accurately and honestly."
