North HS student arrested after bringing gun on campus: KHSD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A North High School student was arrested after allegedly being found with a firearm on campus Friday morning.

Kern High School District Police responded and determined the student did not plan on using the firearm on campus, according to the district.

The firearm was confiscated.

The investigation is ongoing and extra police presence will be on campus as a precaution.

North High School parents were notified of the incident through an all-call, according to the district. The district encourages students to say something if they see something.
