North Carolina man accused in shooting at Little River home

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A North Carolina man is behind bars after shooting and injuring a man after forcing his way into the man’s home early Monday morning, according to arrest warrants obtained by News13.

John McCray of Clarendon, North Carolina, 45, allegedly forced his way into the home on Grizzly Road in the Little River area of Horry County. The incident happened just after midnight, and the victim was shot multiple times in his right arm and right shoulder, warrants state.

McCray is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and burglary. McCray is being held without bond at the J. Rueben Long Detention Center with no bond.
