The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) announced Wednesday, May 1 it is not currently investigating the death of Presgrove as a homicide, although OHP and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) are continuing to work the case.

The announcement from OHP stated "investigators have conducted numerous interviews and reviewed leads and evidence" and while the investigation is not over, OHP is not currently investigating Presgrove's death as a murder.

Presgrove's family, however, wants answers surrounding his death and are raising money via GoFundMe to hire a private investigator.

Dailen Presgrove, the fundraiser organizer, set the goal for the fundraiser at $8,000 "to hire a private investigator who will be able to solve the case."

"Private investigators are very expensive," Dailen Presgrove said. "Between the many of us who have been eagerly working the case over the last eight months, we have tremendous hours put into the case already. We are seeking new eyes on the case and preferably someone with law enforcement background and experience in this genre."

The GoFundMe raised $277 over the goal as of press time. Additional donations and information on the GoFundMe can be found at https://gofund.me/2b564cef.
