At approximately 8:13 a.m., deputies responded to Upper-Lewisburg Salem Road and Number Nine Road for a car versus school bus crash, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

The initial investigation showed the school bus was heading north on Number Nine Rd. and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Upper Lewisburg-Salem Rd. The bus continued north through the intersection, failing to yield the right of way, and was hit by a vehicle going west on Upper Lewisburg-Salem Rd., the sheriff’s office said.

The bus driver and two children on the bus were not injured. The driver of the car had minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Just before 9 a.m., Brookville Local Schools released a statement on its Facebook page saying there was a minor bus accident involving one of its school buses.
