No one hurt in Valdosta fire

Apr. 22—VALDOSTA — No one was injured Saturday in a fire on East College Street. At 12:12 p.m., firefighters headed to a residential fire at 704 E. College St., a Valdosta Fire Department statement said. They found smoke coming from a single-family residence. There was no one inside, the fire department said. The American Red Cross assisted with displaced occupants. The cause of the fire was unattended cooking, the statement said.
