NFTA to temporarily pause above-ground Metro Rail service

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The NFTA will temporarily pause above-ground Metro Rail service for six days next week.

The pause will begin on Tuesday, May 28 and last until Sunday, June 2.

During the suspension, upgrades will be made to the system, including to the track bed and the electrical system.

NFTA will provide a shuttle service running every 20 minutes between the Allen Medical Campus Station and Canalside Station. Transit employees will be on-site to assist passengers.
