NewsNation To Launch Weekend News Block To Complete 24/7 Programming
NewsNation is adding an early evening news block to its weekend schedule, completing its transformation into a 24/7 network.
On JUne 1, the network will debut NewsNation Now with Adrienne Bankert on Saturdays and Sundays from 4 p.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET. The Nexstar network has been adding programs to its weekend lineup in the past year, including weekend editions of Morning in America and The Hill Sunday with Chris Stirewalt. Anna Kooiman joined NewsNation in March as anchor of NewsNation Now on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. ET to 4 p.m. ET. Also hired recently was Laura Ingle as senior correspondent, and Alicia Nieves as New York correspondent.

NewsNation launched in 2021, having formerly been WGN America. A three-hour evening newscast was started on the channel the previous September.
