Newcomerstown News: Council approves hours and rates for Cy Young Pool this year

Newcomerstown Village Council has approved the regulations and rates for the Cy Young Pool this year. They include:

● Hours from noon to 5 p.m., open seven days a week● Adult swim is $5 for 11 a.m. to noon ● Family swim is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays● $7 daily admission● $60 for a 10 day punch card● $100 for a 20 day punch card● Pool parties are $100 for one hour, $200 for two hours and $275 for three hours

Council also hired John Resh as the street superintendent, and Darcy Brickles and Megan Perry as park managers for the summer.

Council members had a second reading on an ordinance to authorize the use of utility vehicles, side-by-sides and mini trucks on streets where the speed limit is 35 mph or less.

Father-daughter duo performs

The Mugicians will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Olde Main Street Museum.

The Mugicians are a father-daughter duo. T.J. Marlatt is a graduate of Newcomerstown High School, and now lives in New Philadelphia, along with his daughter Emma. The show will include music, magic, and comedy, and is suitable for all ages. Tickets are $15 and can be obtained by calling 740-498-7735.

Tonies for children at library

The library has Tonies for children. Tonies provide stories and songs with an interactive screen less listening device. No Wi-Fi required.
