Neighbors bewildered after house explodes in Essex
A house exploded and burst into flames late Saturday night, making for some heart-stopping moments in Essex. Residents on Crafton Road said they heard a loud boom. Jason Pirrera said he thought it was an earthquake. "I came outside and I could smell and see some smoke, and I saw debris flying through the air, so I peeked my head around the corner, because it's obviously right behind us, and I ran back inside and I was like, 'That was not an earthquake. The house behind us just exploded,'" Pirrera told 11 News.
