Near Oklahoma City, family of 5 -- including 2 kids -- found dead in home

April 22 (UPI) -- A homocide investigation is underway in Oklahoma after five individuals -- at least two who are kids -- were found dead Monday morning, according to authorities.

Authorities in Yukon, located outside Oklahoma City, had arrived after 9:30 a.m. local time to a home at the 2800 block of Mirage Street, where the bodies of five people, at least of them two children, had been found and declared dead in the cul-de-sac neighborhood.

The names or other identifiable information about the victims have yet to be released.

The ongoing situation was called "very tragic, very sad" by an Oklahoma City Police Department official.

"This wasn't a gas-type of situation or a fentanyl-type of situation," commented Master Sergeant Gary Knight, who said the injuries were consistent with a homicide.

"These are five people who were killed," he said.

A reporter from Raw Story took to social media Monday afternoon to say the victims had supposedly been family members allegedly killed by their father, according to a parent of a child who had spent Saturday night over at the residence.
