National Drug Take Back Day: Where to go in the Midstate

(WHTM) — This Saturday, April 27 is the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Takeback Day.

According to the DEA, the goal of the day is to promote safety and health by preventing medication misuse and preventing opioid addiction from starting.

Some grocers and retailers including Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Wegmans will also be hosting in-person medication drop-offs.

The Walmart Supercenter, located at 890 E Main Street in Ephrata, Lancaster County will host a Take Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Law enforcement agencies will be set up in the parking lot to assist those returning medications.
