This past season, Filip Forsberg delivered big moments for the Nashville Predators, but on Sunday, his wife, Erin Alvey, delivered one for him.

Forsberg and Alvey announced on Mother's Day the arrival of their son, Felix Forsberg, weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces.

The announcement came via Instagram post, which showed off several photos of the Predators' star forward with his son.

"Proudly introducing Felix Forsberg," the caption of their shared Instagram post states. "Born this morning, weighing in at 8lbs 8oz. We feel like the luckiest two people in the world today."

Forsberg and Alvey had announced on social media in January of Felix's impending arrival, photoshopping a mustache on an ultrasound photo. That was the beginning of an impressive second half of the season for Forsberg, who finished with a franchise-record 48-goal season.

Coincidentally, Felix Forsberg arrived on the same day that former teammate Kevin Fiala and wife Jessica welcomed daughter Masie-Mae. Fiala, who plays for the Los Angeles Kings, was with the Predators for five seasons (2014 - 2019).

Forsberg just completed the second year of an eight-year, $68 million contract he signed with the Predators in 2022.
