“I don’t know why he chose my house,” said Carter.

Carter said she didn’t have the correct screws for her camera, so the it was velcroed to the wall. It was an easy take, but Carter says video shows he stayed on her porch for about ten minutes.

“He knocked and then tried to open it to see if he can come in or see if it was unlocked or something,” said Carter.

Carter was at work and unable to look at her notifications. When she finally did, Carter said she didn’t recognize the man.

“He was dressed in black and a beanie hat,” said Carter. “You could see like a little bit of tattoos right here on his arm.”

Possible motives flooded her head.

“I didn’t know if he was going to come rape us kill us or, I don’t know, like, I was scared to even go outside,” said Carter.

Officers said right now the suspect could be looking at misdemeanor larceny charges. That would ultimately be up to the District Attorney.

Until then, Carter says she is looking over her shoulder.
