UPDATE: Muscogee Co. Coroner’s Office vehicle on scene at Buena Vista Road

UPDATE 4/24/24 11:10 a.m.: WRBL spoke with Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan who confirmed this incident seems to be a medical-related crash.

Coroner Bryan says a 69-year-old man appeared to have cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead and the coroner’s office is in the process of notifying next of kin.

According to Bryan, the man rolled into a parked limousine at the funeral home. His truck was damaged along with the older-model limousine. Authorities did have to bust a window of the truck to gain access.

This death investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Columbus Police Department’s motor squad.

UPDATE 4/24/24 10:33 a.m.: A vehicle with the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office has arrived on the scene.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Authorities are present at a scene on Buena Vista Road and Tennessee Drive in Columbus.

Multiple Columbus police units and an ambulance are near Lamb International Funeral Home as of Wednesday morning. Crime scene tape is blocking off the area.

According to the Columbus Police Department, an individual struck some cars in the parking lot and then struck the building.
