Municipal Court participating in warrant forgiveness

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The City of Pueblo Municipal Court will be participating in a Warrant Forgiveness Program on Thursday, April 18.

The City said those with warrants are invited to the Municipal Court building and will not be arrested, instead they will be offered a form that indicates a desire to appear and address the warrant. The City of Pueblo said individuals will have the opportunity to speak with a defense attorney and be allowed to resolve their case or set a future court date.

The warrant-clearing opportunity is specific to offenses with the Pueblo Municipal Court and will take place on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone who appears on a warrant that is not eligible to have their warrant vacated will not be arrested, according to the City.

Along with the opportunity to meet officials at Pueblo Municipal Court, there will be community partners such as the Pueblo Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) with United Way of Pueblo County for additional assistance.
