In east Africa they call the coconut tree Mnazi which translates to life. They use it for so many things I won’t have space to list here. I used it on my hair as I was a diving instructor, after a year in the sea and sun, my hair bleached white blonde and down to my shoulders, my hairdresser said she didn’t find a single split end. I still use it today as I still work on the water in the Med. But like any food it should be in moderation.
Where are this professor's facts? Moderation is the key. Coconut oil is about 2/3 medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), also called medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs. These types of fatty acids produce a whole host of health benefits. Coconut oil is nature's richest source of these healthy MCFAs. And it's the only non-GMO oil currently on the market. IMCFAs do not require insulin to be consumed thus great for diabetic patients. Consume in moderate amount is the key.
"WE follow coconut oil with blind dedication?" Who is this WE? I certainly don't, have never been much impressed with the taste of coconut and I've never used it for cooking or as a cosmetic. But I do remember reading on here ages back that eating a chunk of creamed coconut when you feel cold symptoms starting can stop the infection from progressing. I tried it - did not like the stuff and found it literally hard to swallow - but I was startled when the sore throat went away. Since then I've tried the same remedy several times and I have to admit it has worked every time - so I can't help feeling there must be something in the curative effects of the stuff after all.
Here in Indonesia coconut oil is in common use. It is also quite cheap and we choose to use it as an alternative to 'palm oils', the production of which is responsible for the destruction of local rain forests.
I see the modified food brigade is out to demonise Coconut again - No mention of short vs long chain molecules and the different way the body deals with both.
No mention of the fact Coconut oil doesn't go rancid and cooks at a far higher temperature without breaking down.
For cooking you get flavour stripped coconut oil (my name not the official name) so you don't have to have everything taste of coconut when used for cooking or adding to juices.
It works wonderfully with tooth infections to draw out the infection, and stops plaque build up if used for 'pulling' and reduces cavities from forming.
Not environmentally destructive like palm oil.
AND is far better than petrochemical sunscreens.
Which American organisation sponsored this research? Note oils and fats that are non-indigenous to the USA are all slagged off by US "professors" having been paid to do so by processed food producers. No mention of US cheese with so many added ingredients it cannot even be called cheese, also US margarine with zero nutrition value and one molecule short of being a plastic.
Note Guinness is more nutritious than Coke-Cola.
So Canola (vegetable - rapeseed) oil is recommended? Rapeseed oil was toxic before it was genetically modified. It is chemically processed and bleached before it is suitable for our use and while low in fat, is about as far from a natural product as can be found. Watch a video on how it and margerine are made.
So the reason this Dr. gives is as follows; "Dr Michels said the consumption of coconut oil and other ‘superfoods’ was unnecessary as we get enough nutrition from everyday fruit and vegetables."...what if I decide I want to get benefits from coconut oil & other super-foods rather than or including "everyday fruit and vegetables"? I will carry on with my daily dose of Coconut oil.
That tells us all we need to know about the British Heart Foundation. Another bunch of con artists peddling paid for science to keep the drug pushers going and killing millions of people with heart disease. There are thousands of scientific papers on the extremely healthy medium chain triglycerides in pure organic coconut oil and they are all ignored by the medical establishment because a switch back to natural products and away from man made low fat concoctions and statin drugs would put a humongous dent in big pharma fortunes.
In the US coconut oil was massively consumed with no ill effects on the heart before WW2 and it only changed due to the war and the break in Asian supply lines, so there was a switch to deadly vegetable oils which decimate the heart and circulatory system, the rest is history.
BIG charities, whether heart, cancer, diabetes or dementia are NOT interested in YOU or in solving the problem, they are only interested in more and more DRUG research as an answer to everything. They are frauds. I don't care how many thumbs down this gets from asleep people, the more people know these facts the sooner they will have their backs against the wall and the racket will be forced to an end.
For years the scientific community have mislead the public on healthcare and nutrition. Many of us do our own research now and make our own choices on how to treat ourselves.
Isn't it about time they spoke the truth and stopped all the toxicity of household products, so called beauty products and foods loaded with additives and chemicals from being sold to human beings as 'healthy!'
I would suggest that this industry begins with the products which are making humanity the sickest and question why they are being marketed and sold for human consumption. The 'proof is in the pudding' and the human race is becoming sicker due to poor quality food sources and the natural nutrition no longer in natural foods.
I've been trying to reply to comments, but yahoo says 'there is an error please try later' but its been telling me that for months. I'm definitely signed in. Anyone else having this problem... & found a solution?

After hearing the voice of the establishment, I know it's time to stuff myself with coconut oil.
