MSU to graduate more than 9,500 students from 51+ countries

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — For the second spring in a row, Michigan State University is hosting commencement for more than 9,500 graduates.

The commencements will happen between April 26 and May 10, at the Breslin Student Events Center and Wharton Center for Performing Arts.

What’s more–the 6,849 bachelor’s degree candidates are from 51 different countries across the world, as well as 47 states and 80 Michigan counties.

And they’re not all “traditional” students–the graduates range from 18 to 61 years old.

Though MSU graduated as many students last spring, this year’s class is boasting a new record for the highest scholastic average–272 bachelor’s degree candidates are crossing the stage with a 4.0-grade point average.
