Woman stabbed ex with kitchen knife in Cordova: Police

MEMPHIS, Tenn. –A woman accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend several times on Sunday was booked in the Shelby County Jail covered in blood.

Alexandria Twilley was charged with attempted second-degree murder.

Police said Twilley threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend and stabbed him with a kitchen knife following an argument inside his house in the 8200 block of Shallow Rock Cove in Cordova.

They said Twilley stabbed her ex in the head, chest, and hand and then chased him outside with a hand saw.

Neighbors on Shallow Rock didn’t want to talk on camera but said they heard yelling and said a Ring camera captured video of the man, covered in blood, being chased by the ex-girlfriend, who was carrying a knife.

“It was a big knife,” a neighbor said.

Neighbors said the ex-girlfriend’s children may have been inside the house at the time of the stabbing. They said the victim ran to another house for help and was in bad shape when he was taken to the hospital.

“He was passing out from the blood loss,”

The victim was transported to the Regional One Medical Center in critical condition but is now listed in fair condition.

Twilley is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
