When officers arrived they found the motorcycle and Morris dead on the scene. CSPD said the investigation showed Morris was traveling west on Milton E. Proby Pkwy, taking the off-ramp onto S. Academy Blvd. and failed to navigate the turn. The motorcycle hit the guardrail and Morris was ejected. Police believe speed to be a factor in the crash.

According to CSPD, this is the 19th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2024, at this time last year there were 19.
