Motorcyclist critical after South Side crash
CHICAGO — A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash Thursday night on the South Side.
Officers responded to the scene just after 8:20 p.m. in the 2400 block of West 87th Street.
Police believe a gray SUV traveling northbound on Western attempted to make a left turn onto 87th Street and collided with a motorcycle traveling southbound.
The unidentified motorcyclist sustained trauma to the body and was transported to Christ Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the SUV, a 42-year-old man, was not injured. Citations against him are pending, according to police.
