Vital Statistics Program, which keeps track of official events in Colorado, like births, shared some of the busiest days for birthdays in 2023.

For the most part, the Generation Alphas born in Colorado last year gravitated toward a summer month.
Most common birthday in Denver
In Denver County alone, there were around 22 births a day in 2023, with as little as eight births a day and as many as almost 40 a day.
On Sept. 3, only eight babies were born in Denver. Meanwhile, summer took the cake – pun intended – with the most births happening in early July.
On July 7, there were 39 births.
July wasn’t only a common month in Denver, but across all of Colorado as well.
Most common birthday in Colorado
Throughout last year, the average amount of births per day amounted to 168 in Colorado. However, some days got a little more love than others.
When it comes to Colorado’s most popular birthdays in 2023, it was for summer babies all the way.
July 6 and July 18 were the most common birthdays last year, with 224 births among Colorado residents on both days.
When to start watering your lawn and garden
Meanwhile, many newborns took the winter holiday off. The least common birthday in 2023 was Christmas Day, Dec. 25, with only 82 births.
While 2023 babies are going to be having birthdays filled with pool parties and cookouts, July isn’t always the most popular month for birthdays in Colorado.
For the past 10 years, the most popular birthdays have ranged from summer birthdays like June, July and August to winter and spring birthdays like December, April and May.
