Most of the holiday weekend weather looks good, but a few storms chances move in

What We’re Tracking

  • Slight storm chance early Friday

  • Storms possible Saturday night

  • Comfortable temperatures

Most of the night will be dry with a clear to partly cloudy sky early, then mostly cloudy late. Temperatures will fall into the middle 60s. The best chance for storms will roll in from the northwest near daybreak. Those should be stronger to our north, but a few stronger storms in the northern portions of the viewing area are possible.

Clouds in the morning, then mostly sunny weather returns on Friday with highs in the upper 70s to near 80°. That pleasant weather will carry over into Saturday, as well. However, we expect a round of storms to late Saturday to our southwest and move our Saturday night into early Sunday.

Sunshine should return for Sunday afternoon with highs in the lower 80s. High temperatures should start to warm back into the 80s Memorial Day itself. So, the holiday is looking warm, but it’s hard to rule out some scattered showers and storms in the current pattern.
