Hundreds of complaints filed on these metro roads

Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure shared a year’s worth of reported pothole complaints between February 2023 through February 2024.

In total, the reports specifically about potholes amounted to over 7,000 complaints.

FOX31 looked through the department’s list based on driver reports of potholes around Denver. The locations of the potholes are difficult to pinpoint as each report gives a general, but not exact area.

Several roads were reported hundreds of times. These particular roads are some of the most reported upon searching.

Monaco Street Parkway

Through the reports, some drivers didn’t reference the road by its full name. Upon searching for reports that reference “Monaco,” over 500 inquiries pop up.

This less than 10-mile stretch from Monaco Street Parkway, along with North and South Monaco Street Parkway to Monaco Steet has received some of the most reports in the past year.

The most recent reports referred to large, deep potholes along different areas of Monaco.

Colorado Boulevard

Almost 400 reports cited Colorado Boulevard, with drivers using terms like “Colorado” and “Colorado Blvd.” in the reports.

Alameda Avenue

Alameda Avenue, including east and west, received several hundred complaints within the past year.

“Alameda” was referenced over 300 times with reports ranging between Lakewood and Aurora.

The reports ranged from a notice of a pothole on the road to complaints that the potholes on Alameda are causing damage to cars.

FOX31 reached out to DOTI to see if any renovations have been made to these roads within the past year. We’re still awaiting a response.
