Morgan City Police seeks suspect in connection with Sunday night stabbing
MORGAN CITY, La. (KLFY) — Morgan City Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected in a Sunday night stabbing.
At around 11:14 p.m. Sunday, officers with the Morgan City Police Department responded to a residence in the area of Federal Avenue regarding a subject who had been stabbed.
According to reports, Joshua Pojar, 42, allegedly stabbed someone during a verbal altercation. It was believed that Pojar fled and barricaded himself into an adjacent structure to the residence.
The victim was located and taken to an out of area hospital where they remain in a stable but critical condition.
With the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Inter Agency Special Response Team, the structure was breached, but Pojar was not located. The residence was also secured and currently being processed by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division.

A warrant was obtained for Pojar’s arrest for attempted second degree murder. Pojar is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 lbs. with brown hair.
