More than $2 million in Justice Reinvestment Initiative Treatment Supervision Grant awards announced by Governor Justice

CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — More than $2 million in grant funds were awarded by Governor Justice for projects in the Mountain State.

$2,454,527 in West Virginia Justice Reinvestment Initiative Treatment Supervision (JRI-TS) grant funds were awarded to thirteen projects in West Virginia by Governor Justice.

The State of West Virginia provided the grant funds, and they are managed by the Justice and Community Services (JCS) Section of the Division of Administrative Services (DAS).

The grant funds were given to the following to help treatment supervision programs:

  • Mercer County: A $220,900.00 JRI-TS grant was awarded to the Community Action of South Eastern West Virginia.

  • Mercer County: A $37,884.00 JRI-TS grant was given to Southern Highlands Community Mental Health.

  • Mercer and Kanawha counties: A $918,033.00 JRI-TS grant was awarded to Recovery Point of Huntington.

  • Greenbrier County: The Greenbrier County Commission received a $73,781.00 JRI-TS grant.

  • Berkeley County: A $132,453.00 JRI-TS grant was awarded to the Berkeley County Commission.

  • Mineral County: A $198,810.00 JRI-TS grant was given to Burlington United Methodist Family Services.

  • Harrison County: The Harrison County Commission was awarded a $70,688.00 JRI-TS grant.

  • Jefferson County: $91,453.00 JRI-TS grant was awarded to the Jefferson Day Report Center.

  • Logan, Boone, Lincoln, and Mingo counties: The Logan County received a $102,586.00 JRI-TS grant.

  • Mason County: A $61,896.00 JRI-TS grant was given to the Mason County Commission.

  • Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood counties: The Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home was awarded a $176,720.00 JRI-TS grant.

  • Logan, Boone, Cabell, Clay, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, Mingo, Putnam, and Wayne counties: A $236,783.00 JRI-TS grant was given to the Recovery Group of Southern WV.

  • Marshall and Ohio counties: A $132,540.00 JRI-TS grant was awarded to YWCA of Wheeling.
