Montgomery man caught trying to have sex with twelve-year-old in Ozark parking lot, police say
OZARK, Ala (WDHN) — A Montgomery man is charged with a plethora of sex crimes after police say he drove over two hours to have sex with a twelve-year-old girl early Wednesday morning.
Osvaldo Jimenez Hernandez is charged with four counts of rape in the second degree, five counts of sodomy in the second degree, five counts of traveling to meet a minor for an unlawful sex act, one count of production of porn with a minor, three counts of enticing child for immoral purpose, and one count of child solicitation by computer.
According to Ozark Police Deputy Michael Bryan, a patrol officer noticed a car sitting in the parking lot of a closed business in Ozark at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and became suspicious when it tried to drive away.
Bryan tells WDHN that the officer pulled the car over and found Hernandez along with a twelve-year-old girl, and the officer eventually found out the two were meeting in the parking lot to have sex.
The deputy chief says an investigation was launched, and Hernandez admitted to officers during questioning that he and the girl began talking through social media apps a few months ago and had sex on multiple occasions in Ozark.
The investigation is ongoing, and police say additional victims may be found.
Hernandez is being held in the Dale County Jail without bond.
