A young woman accused of taping her 2-year-old son to a wall and streaming it live on social media has been arrested in Ohio. Police in Reynoldsburg, Ohio say 18-year-old Shayla Rudolph was arrested Thursday on an abduction charge. Her son was taken into custody by Franklin County Children's Services.

ABC 6/Fox 28, a news station in Columbus, Ohio, was tipped off to a Facebook Live video from early January that shows Rudolph taping her son to a wall, with his arms, head, mouth, and ankles all bound with clear packing tape. The station informed police about it on Wednesday.

In the video, which lasted nearly 20 minutes, the boy can be heard crying in the background, according to ABC 6/Fox 28. Rudolph walks around her home, explaining that her son misbehaved and saying: "Parents don't need to whoop the kids. All you gotta do is tape them to the wall."

"Don't make me put more tape up there," she says. "Now sit still. You can see the TV from right there."

Rudolph also can be heard apparently explaining that what she is doing allows housework to be done.

"You can't clean without them running around tearing up? Tape to them to wall," she says. "You can't cook because they're running around? Tape them to the wall."

At one point, she kisses the boy on the head while he's still affixed to the wall and says, "You have the best mommy in the world."

Days later, Rudolph posted another Facebook Live, saying Children's Services had called her and that she was forcing the boy to stand in the corner as discipline, according to ABC 6/Fox 28.

Court records don't list an attorney for Rudolph, who can't be reached for comment.

In a statement to the Franklin County Municipal Court, Reynoldsburg authorities said Rudolph "confirmed that she did it" but said it was done as a joke.
