Mokena man accused of child porn possession facing felony charges

MOKENA, Ill. — A southwest suburban man accused of possessing child pornography is now facing felony charges.

According to Illinois State Police (ISP), 75-year-old Edward Regan, a Mokena resident, has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.

Authorities say the charges were handed down after a search warrant was executed at Regan’s home in the 11000 block of Daniel Trail on Thursday.

ISP officials say during the search, agents allegedly gathered evidence of child pornography.

75-year-old Edward Regan has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, according to Illinois State Police.

Regan was then arrested and taken to the Will County Jail.

Authorities released details about Regan’s arrest in a news release on Friday morning.

ISP officials say tips on child pornography can be reported through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s (NCMEC) CyberTipline. Tips can be left anonymously.
