Mogadore village clerk charged with stealing funds: Sheriff

MOGADORE, Ohio (WJW) – A Mogadore village employee accused of stealing funds was arrested on Friday.

The investigation started back in January, when village officials told the Summit County Sheriff’s Office they believed a clerk for the Village of Mogadore Mayor’s Court was taking funds.

The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Michelle Shutler, of Mogadore, was arrested on Friday, April 12. She’s charged with theft in office and tampering with records, investigators say.

Shutler was taken to the Portage County Jail.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau is handling the investigation.
