Mobile man arrested after breaking into car, shed: Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local man was arrested after he broke into a car and shed, according to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD news release said 26-year-old Benjamin Brian Woods was arrested early Wednesday morning.

The release said officers were called to the 800 block of Carol Street around 5 a.m. Wednesday after a person called to report a man, now identified as Woods, wearing a ski mask looking into vehicles.

When officers arrived, they located Woods, but he ran from them, according to the release. Officers were able to arrest Woods, who had allegedly broken into a vehicle and shed.

He was taken to Mobile Metro Jail and charged with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, burglary, attempting to elude, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
