Mobile County woman accused of trying to set occupied mobile home on fire

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A woman faces a felony charge of first-degree arson after officials say she tried to set fire to an occupied mobile home on Three-Notch Kroner Road.

Paulette Person was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail late Sunday night.

A spokesperson for Mobile Fire-Rescue says that on Sunday afternoon, firefighters from MFRD and Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue were called to a possible domestic incident.

They alleged that Person used gasoline to try to burn an occupied mobile home.

Person was later interviewed at Mobile Police Headquarters and arrested, according to the MPD.

The report does not say how many people were home at the time of the fire.

Jail records indicate Person was previously arrested for third-degree domestic violence/harassment in 2021.
