Mississippi man accused of shooting son

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Mississippi man is in custody after he was accused of shooting his son.

According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting at a home on County Road 504 in Como at 2:08 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies reportedly found a man shot in the living room of the home. The sheriff’s office says the victim was rushed to Regional One Hospital in Memphis for treatment.

The sheriff’s office says investigators arrived on the scene and, a short time later, arrested William Robert Adams, Sr., for aggravated assault.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office has not released details on what led to the shooting.

Adams was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center and given a $100,000 bond.
