Missing toddler dies in Stanislaus County hospital
(FOX40.COM) –A 2-year-old child found in a canal bank on Monday has died at a Stanislaus County hospital, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s investigators said the child was found in a canal bank in the 4300 block of Swanson Road in Denair and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but later died.
The child was first reported missing around 6:20 p.m. and Denair Fire Dept. crews responded minutes later and began performing CPR before taking the child to a hospital.
“Our hearts go out to the family,” the Denair Fire Dept. said.
