Missing Farmington boy found near Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – FBI agents located a missing Farmington boy Tuesday morning in Collinsville, Illinois.

On Monday afternoon, the Farmington Police Department issued an Endangered Person Advisory for the 6-year-old. Police said the child’s parents took the boy from Francois Medical Center against doctor’s wishes. The boy was at the medical facility for an undisclosed condition.

When police arrived, medical staff said the boy’s parents had already left.

A sheriff’s deputy in a neighboring county was asked to go to the family’s home and check on the child’s well-being. The child was not at the residence.

According to Captain Larry Lacey, Farmington Police Department, the FBI found the boy around 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, along with the child’s parents and a grandparent. An ambulance took the 6-year-old to a nearby hospital for treatment.
