Missing Columbus child, 9, found safe

UPDATE: Columbus police have resolved the case after the missing child was recovered safely at around 11 a.m. Thursday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Columbus police are searching for a missing child who was last seen on the northeast side of the city.

Damonie Jackson, 9, is considered an endangered missing child, according to police. Jackson was last seen Wednesday at or near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Chittenden Avenue in South Linden.

At the time of his disappearance Jackson, who is 4 feet, six inches tall, approximately 100 pounds with brown eyes, was riding a purple and black bicycle around the area.

Anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts is urged to contact the CPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 614-645-2538.
