Missing Chip and Joanna Gaines Already? You’ll Be Able to Bake Like Them Soon with a New Cookbook

It was sad news on Tuesday, September 26, for shiplap fans everywhere. Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines announced that their beloved TV series is coming to an end after the upcoming fifth season. Suffice it to say, the world of home design enthusiasts imploded at the thought of having to say goodbye so soon to HGTV’s most inspiring couple. Our dreams of having our homes flipped and renovated by the Texas twosome have been crushed, but we were glad to discover that this isn’t the final goodbye.

On Friday, September 22, Joanna Gaines posted a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram for her very first cookbook. And, collectively, fans breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

The caption, accompanying the photo, reads: "After a week long photo shoot for our cookbook, celebrating with some homemade mac n’ cheese and brownie pie just feels right."

We couldn’t agree more, Joanna. Nothing like some Southern-style macaroni and cheese to fix up our own broken hearts.

News of Joanna’s cookbook shouldn’t come as a shock, considering this isn’t the couple’s first foray into the food business. Joanna has confessed her love for all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants. In addition, Chip and Jo also opened a bakery called the Silos Baking Co. Oh, and we can’t forget their famous bed-and-breakfast, Magnolia House, nor their soon-to-be-opened breakfast spot, Magnolia Table, located in the heart of Waco, Texas.

Now, after four seasons of opening themselves and their farmhouse up to us, the queen of home improvement is sharing her favorite foods with fans in a recipe collection entitled Magnolia Table Cookbook, which is an ode to the Magnolia Table restaurant.

We can’t wait to hunker down in the kitchen and start cooking the recipes from Joanna’s new collection. It’s a good thing we already know what to expect, based on the mouthwatering food photos she posts regularly on Instagram.

Not sure how those three got away... @chippergaines ????
