Man found in North Port with missing 2-year-old charged with kidnapping: police

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested in North Port after law enforcement officials said he kidnapped a 2-year-old boy.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert Monday night for the 2-year-old. The boy was found safe on Tuesday morning.

Officials said they arrested the suspect, 29-year-old Robert Renauld, in North Port. He was taken to the Sarasota County Jail.

No other details were immediately available.
