Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth visited a children’s hospital yesterday, and the pictures are seriously warming our hearts

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been giving us major #COUPLEGOALS over the holidays (ugly Christmas sweaters, anyone?). But things just got taken up a notch in our book when we found out that Cyrus and Hemsworth visited patients in a children’s hospital this week in an effort to spread some much-needed holiday cheer.

Now Miley has been no stranger to holiday positivity this season. She has posted messages about the importance of animal rescue and adoption on her Instagram, as well as shared her thoughts on how Christmas can get depressingly materialistic. So while this next move wasn’t necessarily surprising (because we know Miley has a huge heart), we still were incredibly moved.

We seriously can’t express how much this fills our hearts. If anyone deserved a special holiday surprise this season, it’s kids like these who are battling painful and scary diseases. While so many kids their age are worrying about things like homework, or what to wear to winter formals, these guys are literally fighting for their lives.

We’re so glad Miley and Liam kept these kids in their hearts this week, because we honestly can’t think of anything more exciting or that might cheer us up more than a visit from our favorite celebs (especially when we were teens).

So here’s to thinking of others and trying to make the world a slightly better and happier place — even amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
