Midland College honors Spring 2024 nursing and respiratory care graduates

May 15—Midland College recently held two pinning ceremonies recognizing Spring 2024 associate degree graduates of the Nursing and Respiratory Care programs.

Family and friends joined the 12 Respiratory Care and 17 Nursing graduates for the traditional pinning and candle lighting ceremonies held in the Allison Fine Arts Building, Wagner & Brown Auditorium.

Midland College Vice President of Instruction Dr. Michael Dixon spoke to the graduates and reflected on the selflessness of becoming a healthcare professional, praising the dedication of the Spring 2024 graduates who now join the ranks of compassionate caregivers in West Texas.

"Midland College's Associate Degree Nursing and Respiratory Care programs stand out for their excellence," Dixon said in a news release. "This excellence is a testament to our students' unwavering commitment to personal growth and the pursuit of the highest standards of care. Their dedication not only ensures healing for those they will serve but also serves as an inspiration for future students. The faculty members in both programs are to be commended for their steadfast efforts to support these students as they transition into healthcare professionals."
