New Mexico Dept. of Workforce Solutions launches podcast

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The agency that focuses on helping New Mexicans connect with jobs has launched a podcast that focuses on career journeys of New Mexicans.

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (DWS) is calling the podcast “Good Job New Mexico.” The first episode will focus on Sade Smith’s experience. She experienced DWS’s youth-focused “pre-apprenticeship” program.

“By sharing the career journeys of fellow New Mexicans from across the state we aim to empower and inspire listeners to envision their own career path,” DWS Cabinet Secretary Sarita Nair said in a press release. “If someone is unsure of where to start exploring a new career or how to pursue a career path that they hear about on the podcast, our Career Consultants at New Mexico Workforce Connection Centers are there to help from start to finish.”

Episodes will be released every two weeks. They can be found on the usual podcasting platforms as well as online at this link.
