Metro police arrest DC man for robbing Arlington business

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Metro police arrested a man from D.C. after he robbed a business in Arlington.

The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) said on Monday at around 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Crystal Dr. for a report of a business that had just been robbed.

ACPD said a preliminary investigation showed that a man entered the business, went up to the counter and was talking to the employee before he allegedly stole money from the register.

ACPD broadcasted a lookout for the suspect and Metro Transit Police Department officers found the suspect, tracked him across rail lines using live and recorded video and arrested him in D.C. at a different Metro station.

He was identified as 35-year-old Maleek Geeter, of Washington, D.C. He was charged with robbery.
