Meth, cocaine, & mushrooms, seized during search in Wytheville, man in custody

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man from Wytheville is facing several charges after authorities allegedly discovered several illegal drugs including methamphetamine and cocaine in his home on April 23.

On Tuesday, the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office said the Drug Task Force and Tactical Team served a search warrant on West Monroe Street, in Wytheville.

During the search, deputies said they discovered 341 grams of Methamphetamine, 14 grams of Cocaine, and 223 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms. Authorities also seized $5,986 and a vehicle from the home.

35-year-old Gary Edward McKinney Jr. was arrested and is now facing several charges related to the Possession and Sale of Illegal Narcotics.

He is being held without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail.
