Meteorologist takes over Citi Field on PIX11 Weather Day

NEW YORK (PIX11) – It’s PIX11 Weather Day with the New York Mets at Citi Field!

Each year, PIX11 and the Mets invite students from schools across the tri-state area to the Queens baseball stadium for a day of fun and learning.

This year, students learned how to create a tornado in a jar, how green screens work, and how PIX11’s meteorologists predict the weather forecast. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a visit to Citi Field without a few appearances from Mr. and Mrs. Met!

Ahead of Weather Day, PIX11 meteorologist Byron Miranda chatted with Mets Senior Director of Ballpark Operations Michael Newby.
