Megyn Kelly was left virtually speechless by Katie Couric’s recent comments describing supporters of former President Donald Trump as driven by “anti-intellectualism.”

Kelly played a clip of a recent interview that Couric gave to Bill Maher on his podcast in which she described political polarization in the country.

“Talk about not getting it,” Kelly said on Wednesday editions of “The Megyn Kelly Show.”

“The socio-economic disparities are a lot and class resentment is a lot and anti-intellectualism and elitism is what is driving many of these anti-establishment [people] — which are Trump voters — so, I think that is a huge problem that we have to address,” Couric told Maher’s “Club Random” podcast.

Couric went on to say that globalization and the decline of American manufacturing have led to Trump supporters becoming “jealous” and “resentful,” which are both “corroding” and “bitter” emotions — an “almost bile feeling,” the former NBC “Today” show host said.

Kelly played Couric’s remarks on her SiriusXM podcast Wednesday, saying, “Wow.”

Couric seemed to be saying that Trump voters were “bitter, jealous and corrosive over their envy for her half,” according to Kelly.

Kelly likened Couric’s comments to remarks made by Hillary Clinton during her ill-fated run for the presidency in 2016, when she referred to Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables.”

“It was another basket of deplorables,” Kelly said of Couric’s remarks.

She sarcastically paraphrased Couric: “These anti-intellectual, bitter, envious people who are Trump supporters.”

“That’s that’s the problem. They’re bitter.”

Kelly said of Couric: “I mean, talk about not getting it.”

The Post has sought comment from Couric.

Couric pushed back on Maher saying that he had little trust in legacy media due to what he calls their “slanted” reporting.

She defended the press, saying that “things changed so dramatically” because of Trump and blamed him for the erasure of “decorum” and a “level of basic decency” in this country.
