Mark Wahlberg mortifies his daughter Ella with this perfect dad rap
There comes a time in every child’s life when they’re embarrassed by their parents, and famous families are no exception.
In fact, we just got wind from People that Mark Wahlberg and his 13-year-old daughter Ella were guests on The Dan Patrick Show, where Ella (jokingly it seems) set a challenge for Marky Mark.
“Dad, I want to hear you rap right now.” And after a couple of moments, Mark announced that he had a rap — to Ella’s horror. Now, it wasn’t quite the same as the good old days…
But whether or not you are a Marky Mark fan or a parent or a child, this is essential:
Soooo…Ella was pretty mortified, as any teenager would be.
He said (clearly super not-seriously, totally jokingly, we should add), “I’m your 45-year-old father and I got to rap/and if you keep misbehaving I’m a give your behind a slap.”
She even gave him a clear signal to CUT IT OUT.
But he just wouldn’t stop.
“It’s called a spanking / Later on in life you’re gonna thank me / ‘Cause all the advice that I’m giving you is good for you/ and if not, your butt and behind is gonna be black and blue.”
Mark even called this particular style a “positive encouragement rap,” and told Ella that she’d “earn her phone back if she behaved well.” Ooooh. Cue heightened embarrassment.
Even though Ella may never appear with her dad in public again, we’re sure that she will remember this for the rest of her life. As will we. Thanks for the dad rap, Mark!
