Chef duo brings Hawaiian cuisine to residency at SE Portland’s Little Griddle

“Mean Girls” double feature

When: Friday, Apr. 12 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Where: Tomorrow Theater, 3530 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202

The Portland Art Museum’s Center for an Untold Tomorrow theater will host a double feature of the original “Mean Girls” from 2004 and the 2024 movie musical. Along with each screening, Kickstand Comedy will perform sketches inspired by the cult-favorite film.

The Pancakes & Booze Art Show

When: Friday, Apr. 12 at 8 p.m.

Founded in Los Angeles, The Pancakes and Booze Art Show features all-you-can-eat pancakes, live art and DJs. The 21+ pop-up has been held in more than 40 cities since 2009.

Nike Hoop Summit

When: Saturday, Apr. 13 at 4:30 p.m.
Where: Moda Center, 1 N Center Ct St, Portland, OR 97227

NBA and WNBA prospects will showcase their talents at the 25th annual Nike Hoop Summit. The event previously highlighted basketball stars such as Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki and Bradley Beal.

StumpFest

StumpFest, the metal music festival hosted by Mississippi Studios, is back for another year. The slated performers include the Danny Carey Trio, Terry Gross and Low Plateau.

Cherry Blossom Bazaar

When: Friday, Apr. 12 and Sunday, Apr. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 310 NW Flanders St., Portland, OR 97209

Before cherry blossom season ends, the Japanese American Museum of Oregon will hold “a rummage sale of Japanese treasures.” Located in the former Royal Palm Hotel, the bazaar will offer books, collectibles and other items as low as 25 cents.

Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour

When: Saturday, Apr. 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 7455 SW Bridgeport Rd, Tigard, OR 97224

Barbie fever isn’t over yet. This weekend, the Barbie truck tour is making a pit stop near the Regal Cinema at Bridgeport Village. Visitors will have the chance to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Barbie’s dreamhouse, and buy merchandise from the collection.

Beetlejuice

Inspired by the Tim Burton film starring Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, the “Beetlejuice” musical will bring the 1988 box-office smash to life. The show “Contains strong language, mature references, and a lot of the crazy, inappropriate stuff you would expect from a deranged demon.”
