MARCH 21 FORECAST: Rain & storms Thursday, sunny Friday

ABILENE, Texas (BCH Weather) – As rain continues throughout the Big Country, drivers are urged to be more cautious on the roads. Here’s a look at your Thursday-Friday forecast.

KTAB Chief Meteorologist Sam Nichols says Thursday will continue to be a little chilly at around 49 degrees, and rainstorm chances are high through the 10:00 p.m. hour.

According to the National Weather Service’s Hazardous Weather Outlook, thunderstorms are possible through Thursday evening, some of which could become severe around Brownwood. Counties affected include: Fisher, Coke, Runnels, Haskell, Throckmorton, Jones, Shackelford, Taylor, Callahan, Coleman, and Brown.

For Friday, we’re expecting mostly sunshine. We will have some wind gusts of up to 25 miles per hour. Most of the day will be 50-60 degrees out, and we’ll get to the low-mid 70s around 5:00 p.m.
