Many watch the solar eclipse from Chantilly’s Udvar-Hazy Center

CHANTILLY, Va. (DC News Now) — On Monday, dozens of people, including many families, spent the afternoon at the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly watching the partial solar eclipse.

The Center, which is the companion facility to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., hosted a watch party for those to watch the phenomenon.

As part of DC News Now’s special coverage of the eclipse, Northern Virginia Reporter Max Marcilla spent the day speaking with youngsters at the watch party, where they told him they were excited to witness the rare occurrence.
